When I was appointed project-based Creative Director for the PRO Vietnam 6th Annual Conference in 2025, I knew this was more than just a role. As the organization’s most important strategic event of the year, my mission wasn’t just to create great visuals. It was to tell a story about the vision of a true Green – Clean – Beautiful Vietnam.
The PRO Vietnam Mission
First, a bit of context. PRO Vietnam is a pioneering non-profit organization made up of 31 major companies and global corporations. Their mission is to collaborate with the government to improve packaging recycling, with the ultimate goal of building a greener, cleaner, more beautiful Vietnam. They are a vital trusted bridge between businesses and government, and my job was to embed that purpose into every single design.
More Than Design, It’s a Narrative:
Every design element for the conference had to reinforce this central idea.
Here’s how I approached it:
Setting the Visuals: I set the overall art direction and key visual identity, ensuring the entire event, from banners to presentations, spoke the same language of sustainability leadership.
Leading the Creative Process: I led and coordinated all design activities, from the initial concept to the final delivery, ensuring every piece met our standards for quality and was delivered on time.
Managing Collaboration: I worked closely with internal teams and external partners, managing timelines and quality control to ensure everything ran smoothly and the final design narrative was clear and impactful.
Ultimately, every color choice and visual element was meticulously crafted with one goal: to strengthen PRO Vietnam’s reputation as a leader in sustainability and a reliable partner.
A New Chapter: From Freelancer to Creative Director
When I first joined PRO Vietnam in 2024, I never imagined that a project-based role could evolve into a ‘promotion’ to Creative Director. This journey has been a powerful testament to the fact that passion and dedication are always recognized. I am deeply grateful to my colleagues and the leadership at PRO Vietnam for their trust, and I’m ready to take on the significant responsibilities that come with this new chapter.
Having spent my career immersed in the world of creative and marketing agencies, this is my first time venturing into the environmental sector. The learning curve has been immense, and I have developed a profound admiration for the work this organization is doing for our country. My experience here has proven that great work is what truly matters, no matter your title.
