In 2020, while I was working with Dear Teahouse, my college friend Mai Tran was about to complete her Printmaking program in the U.S. One day, Mai shared some of her projects with me, and I was completely taken aback by how beautiful they were.
Almost instantly, I suggested organizing a solo exhibition for her in Vietnam, made possible with the warm support of Dear Teahouse. It was also the very first exhibition I carried out entirely on my own—from planning to execution.
The exhibition turned out to be a heartfelt success. More than just an event, it became the spark that introduced Mai Tran’s work to audiences in both Vietnam and the U.S. Looking back, I’m deeply grateful for that moment—it was a beginning, a crossing of paths, and a celebration of friendship, art, and courage.
